The third problem, and probably the one with that will affect your for the long term, is your credit score will take a huge hit. If you miss a payment, your credit card company will report you to the credit bureau. This negative mark will make it much more expensive for your to borrow money in the future.

I’d suggest people utilize tools to help them remember to pay their bill. Some good reminders are bill pay systems in your online banking account, Google calendar alerts, rememberthemilk.com, and alerts on your cell phone just to name a few. For me, it’s all about automation and I pay my bills instantly through bill pay when I get paid.
