Wisebread.com has a great story today about how you can save money using Craigslist - Craigslist Shopping 101. I have been using Craigslist for about 2 years now, and I can confirm that there are great deals to be had on it.
Most recently I bought a used 60GB Xbox 360 Pro on Craigslist. I saved about 60% by buying an Xbox 360 on Craigslist.
I also buy a lot of home services through Craigslist. Most recently I found an electrician to install new lights for me in my basement. I replied to a Craiglist ad and within 30 minutes I had the electrician calling me to say that he could do the work that same day. Other great services that I found on Craigslist were yard cleanup services and gutter cleaning.
The Wisebread article does a great job in explaining how to use Craigslist.com. I highly encourage you to check it out.

I just bought a cast iron frying pan on craigslist. The seller was asking $15, I offered $10 and we settled on $12.
A similar 12″ cast iron frying pan sells between $40 – $50 brand new.
That’s great Matt. And, a used cast iron frying pan is better anyways.
In the reverse, you can also make some decent money on Craigslist – for the right items. For example, we sold a year or two old treadmill on craigslist for almost the full purchase price. Great place to find deals, and sometimes – a good place to sell as well.
